What’s Dream-Thinking?
The type of thinking you do between dreaming and waking. It’s characterized by a liminal, in-between two worlds, groggy state.
It often happens to me first thing in the morning, especially when I have not set a wake-up alarm. It happens more often when I don’t have a pressing schedule that causes me to jump out of bed.
Dream-Thinking also happens after I’ve hit the snooze button, but as Mel Robbins says hitting the snooze button is a bad way to start your day. So I won’t recommend you pursue that morning routine.
Is Dream-Thinking a “Real Term”?
I get some many ideas from dream-thinking that I needed a name for the phenomenon. So, I made it up!
Are you a Dream Thinker?
- If so, what conditions bring you the most dream-thinking ideas?
- Are there any ideas you have gotten while dream-thinking?
If you answered “No”, then ask yourself in a few days if you have noticed any changes.
Greater awareness of an idea like this can open your mind to seeing new things.
